Twitter's New HomepageTwitter’s New Homepage – Twitter has redesigned it’s homepage.

The Twitter blog says that “Today we’re trying a redesigned front page for folks who are new to Twitter.com. If you’re a regular around these parts, then you won’t notice the new look unless you sign out of your account”.

The revamped design sports a sleek look that is easy on the eye and includes search capability and a tag cloud of popular topics. This way people who are not even Twitter users yet can search for what is being being said on Twitter.

The search results are nicely placed on the same page below the main area and when you click on any of the popular topics, a description of why that topic is being featured appears along the top of the search results.

If you wish, you can click on Twitter’s New Homepage to read a more detailed article…

The new widget was launched late Thursday. It allows users to create a continuous real-time update box on a custom search topic. The way it looks can be custom edited and it can be placed on a web page.

You can click on Twitter Search Widget to set up your widget.

The Twitter Search Widget allows you to enter any search query, along with a title and a caption. The widget will then be built next to the input fields so you can see what it looks like. You can also edit its color and dimensions.

If you like it, you simply grab the code and put it on a webpage. From there, it will continuously update in real-time with new results from the query you set.

Co-founder Biz Stone said at a conference on Thursday that Twitter plans to roll out a series of paid services aimed at businesses in the coming year which will do things like verify accounts and analyze traffic.
