How Popular Are You On Twitter? If you ever wanted a measure of how influential or trusted you are on Twitter, Tweetlevel is a new tool than can help you to find out.
How does it work? Tweetlevel measures your importance on Twitter by rating your influence, popularity, engagement and trust. And one of the coolest things? It compares your score with the score of some of your tweeting followers.
Influence – what you say is interesting and many people listen to it. This is the primary ranking metric.
Popularity – how many people follow you
Engagement – you actively participate within your community
Trust – people believe what you say
It measures how many times you get re-tweeted, whether you answer people, how many followers you have, and takes into account whether you use #hashtags, @name pointing, and whether you ask questions, publish links and so on. It then runs these figures through a rather complicated formula to confront you with a score similar to a Google PageRank. Each score is rated out of 100 – in other words, the higher your score, the more important you are.
So who is on top? The most influential Twitter users are the blogger Perez Hilton, Ashton Kutcher and CNN’s breaking news feed.
