Retweeting Rollout Continues
November 11, 2009 by Stephen S Alison
Retweeting Rollout Continues – Retweeting is a user-generated communication technique for reposting someone else’s message. It is similar to quoting. Currently, there is no set format for retweeting, which basically consists of reposting someone’s tweet and giving due credit.
In our previous article entitled Twitter Will Formally Incorporate Retweeting we reported that Twitter announced that it will soon implement a button that will let users automatically repost someone else’s tweet.
According to Twitter’s blog post today “Retweeting Rollout Continues…We’re continuing to rollout the new retweet feature to more users (so you might see mention of it from the folks you follow). Thanks for your patience as we get Retweet out to everyone.”
According to TechCrunch: “So what’s the verdict? Some people love it, some people hate it. It is definitely a significant change to the way people are accustomed to using Twitter, so it will undoubtedly take some time for most users to get used to.”
